• The Educational Season…
o There are 4 seasons in the “Journey of Recovery (JOR)”for
any homosexual who desires to embrace the exgay lifestyle…
1. The Educational Season
2. The Celibate Season
3. The Dating Season
4. The Marriage Season
The Educational Season is the first season. No Befriendee can move on
- in his/her JOR without first graduating from the first season then only
to the next.
The Befriendee should not rush through this season which will last for
about one year (12 months / 12 lessons).
It is necessary for the Befriendee to have a qualified Befriender who
is willing to journey with him/her throughout this season. The Befriender
is a friend, counselor, accountability partner and so much more.
The Educational Season is a season of learning truths and unlearning lies
about homosexuality and the exgay lifestyle.
• Goals to accomplish by the end of the Educational
Season…
Learning about Homosexuality the Exgay Lifestyle (through PTP “Personal
Time Program”, Vmeet “Victory Meetings”, reading exgay
materials, interacting with other exgays, visiting exgay websites www.exodus.to
& etc)
Resolving one’s “Self Issue” (learning to embrace &
love self - particularly ones gender and appearance)
Being able to make a firm decision as to which lifestyle one is going
to adopt - the progay /the exgay lifestyle.
• Guideline for the monthly PTP Lessons / discussions
in the “Educational Season” between Befriender and Befriendee:

6. The goals of the Educational Season.
7. The ex-gay lifestyle (it’s not an orientation)…it’s
a journey.
